Winter Vacations at West Coast Resort Pools

E-mail Print PDF

As we get ready for our winter family vacations, we have done some research on the resorts and pools we would like to be headed to this month. Take a nice March break at one of these picture perfect paradises; if we had our way, here’s where we’d be seen splashing away all year round.

Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa

More is more at this Sin City cool-down spot. Situated on four acres, the expansive pool complex has enough space to host a concert for 3,000 people (Sting rocked the stage on opening night), as well as contain six wading pools and an interactive fountain feature. Swimmers can even press their luck with poolside gaming—it is Vegas, after all. 866.767.7773, www.redrocklasvegas.com.

The Westin Maui Resort & Spa

Water seekers are no strangers to the ocean-locked isles of Hawaii—or to The Westin Maui, as the resort boasts an 87,000-sq.-ft. aquatic playground (the space comprises five pools, two kid-friendly waterslides, waterfalls, and lush flora and fauna). However, it is the secret nooks and crannies that make this spot truly remarkable. Guests can cozy up in a private grotto, veiled by two waterfalls, or in the hidden hot tub. 808.667.2525, www.westinmaui.com.
