With ski season in full swing, vacationers are more concerned with finding fresh powder than pristine emerald greens. When the snow melts, resort goers might be surprised to find that their favorite luxury ski spot transforms into a top-tier golf offering come spring.

If you follow golf or play the game to any extent, you’ve probably come across one of those extra-weighted putters while warming up on the practice green or seen one in a member of your foursome’s golf bag. Heavy putters have been around for years and have gained a steady following among several Tour players. Recently, I borrowed a friend’s Mid-Weight putter made by Boccieri Golf and took it out on the course. Prior to this, I hadn’t really experimented with heavy putters except for a putt here and there in a pro shop or retail store.

Many golfers can attest to the advantages of utilizing yardage-gauging devices on the course. While searching for the nearest sprinkler head is how the game is supposed to be played, a new level of convenience and accuracy can be reached when a golfer knows that exact distance to the pin from anywhere on the course.

When it comes to the new USGA groove rule, club manufacturers will have to “prove their love to me,” (and millions of consumers) by way of inventive new groove designs.
