If you are going to be in the Caribbean, you could lounge by the pool, sip a margarita and catch some rays sprinkled with a few zzz’s. However, if you are like me and that peaceful easy feeling has a shelf life of about 3 days, island hopping is a great way to explore and gain some perspective of island territories.
If plans to the Caribbean are on the itinerary, be sure to hop over to the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman where guests can sample what it’s like to reside oceanside.

The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, is offering a Luxury Rental program for vacationers and business travelers. Situated on Seven Mile Beach, one of the most prestigious address on Grand Cayman, The Residences allow potential owners to “test drive” a luxury home experience for a minimum of four days without further commitment.
Set within the $600 million Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman resort community, the Residences’ oceanfront homes are one of the newest luxury offerings on the Caribbean island.
According to the Ritz, the Luxury Rental program is available to leisure and business travelers who would like to experience luxurious surroundings and accommodations. That includes enjoying the finest furnishings, style, design and décor, around-the-clock attention of a Residential Concierge team, butler service, private entrances with elevators, 24-hour valet parking and security and privileged access to all the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman resort’s facilities, services and amenities.

Guests can choose from a varied assortment of ocean view and ocean front luxury private Residences which vary from one-bedroom with 1,650 square feet, to as many as six-bedrooms encompassing over 8,500 square feet of living space. Starting in Fall 2009, The DeckHouses, 19 full-ownership single-family residences, situated on a private island within the acreage of The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman Resort, will be also be available for the Luxury Rental program.
Some of the special amenities that guests of The Residences and The DeckHouses have access to include professional instruction at the Nick Bollettieri-designed tennis center, treatments at the 20,000 square-foot Silver Rain, a La Prairie spa, and use of its adjacent fitness center. Renters can also take advantage of the Ambassadors of the Environment by Jean-Michel Cousteau family program and shop Tiffany & Co. – the only luxury jewelry retailer of its kind in the Caribbean. They can also enjoy fine dining at Blue, the on-property restaurant by Eric Ripert of New York’s top-rated Le Bernardin.

This place looks unreal! One day I will get there. I wonder what people do who live here full time. I think it would be hard to go to work with such views.
The ocean is calling my name. Plus, I’ve never been the Grand Cayman–I think the time has come.
